The Back2R&D project aims to help women who left tech professions to return to high-tech positions. As the design lead, I was responsible for UX/UI design, supporting the developers and helping them work effectively with designers. Our team collaborated with the Michael Levin Association, which assists lone soldiers in the Israeli army.
Goals
Optimize the volunteer registration process and provide easy access to information about available activities.
Enable registered volunteers to manage their activities and personal information.
Provide a system to manage activities, match volunteers with projects, and communicate with volunteers.
Challenges and Solutions
The Michael Levine Association faced challenges managing their volunteer activities and communication due to reliance on various systems like Google Docs and WhatsApp, resulting in tracking inefficiencies. To address these challenges, we developed a centralized platform that optimized all relevant information and processes, making it easier for volunteers and administrators to manage and track volunteer activities more effectively.
Key Features
A user-friendly registration process that guides new volunteers through the sign-up process with a preview of the person volunteering area.
A personal dashboard for registered volunteers that enables them to manage their involvement, edit their personal information, and view new open activities.
An admin system enables administrators to add and edit activities, match volunteers with projects, and send messages to volunteers.
Here is a movie I have built, designed and voice annotated about our team process for this volunteering project :)
